Happy New Year
Our time in Canada
has flown by. We were home for about six weeks and did not have a minute of
spare time. I have no idea how this happens every time we go home but with
seeing all our children, grandchildren, friends, and trying to do all the
things on our to do list we always run out of time.
We arrived back in
Vancouver from Australia and two days later we were back on an airplane to
Calgary to visit with our daughter and her family. Very Christmas like as it
snowed but did not get too cold. We spent a few days enjoying their company and
especially Liam who was 16 months old and just taking his first few steps. Then
it was back to Vancouver as we had the use of our sons house for a week while
they were away on holiday to Mexico. It was a little strange living in a house
again. The week before Christmas we had all the family in Vancouver and
celebrated an early Christmas at Nevan and Sarahs house. We had a wonderful
time and got a big kick out of watching all the grandkids playing with each
other. We also got the good news that Natalie is pregnant and expecting in
August. That will be number six and Marian is really feeling the pull to be
living back at home. We had many invitations out and ate much too much but hey
it is Christmas. We celebrated New Years eve at the yacht club which was very
nice with lots of old and new friends.
This year we came
back on the 4th and arrived here on the 6th after a fourteen hour flight. No
fun at all!! Kilkea II is just as we left her and the car runs so after five
days recuperating we are off in the car for three weeks to the south island
doing the bed and breakfast routine. We do have a few friends down there so
look forward to seeing them again as the last time was in Italy. NO we are not
going bungy jumping but will watch other do it.
We hope to have some
pictures that we can post soon and will try to update our travels via land.
