The good and the bad

I see that it has been awhile since adding any information to the blog. The good news is that Kilkea, the power boat, is fixed with the new fuel tank installed and the engine put back in place and up and running. The bad news is that the summer is over here and the rain has started to fall with cool temperatures so not too conducive to boating so we will have to content ourselves with the knowledge that we will be ready to go next summer season.

 We have had another problem that happened a couple of weeks ago. We had gone for a forty five minute walk after dinner and when we arrived back we found the alarm had been activated and the house broken into. Our neighbors had already called the police and their children had seen the robbers and identified their truck. They took Marian's wallet and our laptop. This is a real pain in the ass as we have had to cancel and redo all the cards etc. The laptop is the biggest problem as we had a lot of pictures on it as well as cruising guides and charts etc. So if anyone gets some strange email from us please disregard it and let us know. Now we are upgrading our security system but is it more like locking the barn door after the horses have all gone.

On the house front I think that we could keep busy painting and gardening for months if not years so are looking into getting back to Kilkea II for some relaxation and good times. The roof work continues and should be complete by the end of Oct. Other than that all is well enjoying old friends and our family.
